On November 24, 2019, the first batch of 10 exchange postgraduates from our university arrived in the UK, and started a 26-day study tour in the UK with infinite expectations for the University of the West of England(UWE).

UWE attached great importance to this postgraduate exchange program and arranged a full schedule for the students on the second day of their arrival. Although they were a bit tired from the long trip and needed to adjust to the jet lag, they were still in high spirits early in the morning and could not wait to learn more about the place where they would be studying and living for the next month.

Led by the British director, the students visited the UWE teaching buildings, student activity center and Bloomberg Trading Room in turn. The whole University of the West of England was very quiet. When they passed by the dining hall, the British director introduced the various dining halls in the university in detail and recommended the special food in the dining hall.

The first class at the UWE was one of the most memorable. The local teacher used a funny and humorous teaching style to ease the tense atmosphere in the classroom, which made the students relax and integrate better into the class; it also exposed the students to clearer English pronunciation and grammar, which benefited them greatly.
