On the afternoon of May 21, 2021, an online exchange meeting with Woosuk University in South Korea was held in classroom A202 of the third teaching building. The meeting was attended by Prof. Zhang Xiying, Deputy Director of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Zhang Yan, Vice Dean of College of Foreign Languages, Mr. Cheng Zhiqi, Head of Korean Department and 5 full-time teachers; Prof. Quan Chunmei, Deputy Director of International Office of Woosuk University, 7 professors of Woosuk University. All the Korean language students of our university attended the meeting. The exchange meeting was hosted by Prof. Zhang Xiying from the Office of Foreign Affairs, and Prof. Zhang Yanqing, a teacher of Korean language department, offered interpreting service for the whole meeting.

At the meeting the achievements of active cooperation between the two universities in recent years were reviewed in joint doctoral training and doctoral supervisor selection. Both sides looked forward to the possibility of cooperation between the two sides in discipline construction, scientific research cooperation and exchange of faculty and students.

Since 2018, our university and Woosuk University have been conducting joint doctoral cultivation programs. 21 teachers of our university are studying for doctoral degrees in Woosuk University, and 15 well-known professors of our University have been appointed by Woosuk University as joint doctoral tutors, On November 3, 2020, the "Agreement on Student Exchange Program was signed between Hebei University of Economics and Business of the People's Republic of China and Woosuk University South Korea, and held the inauguration ceremony for the overseas campuses of the two universities.
