On the afternoon of March 9th, an online video conference was held between HUEB and the University of Suffolk in the United Kingdom(here in after referred to as USUK). Mr. Ji Zhenqi, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges from Hebei Education Department, Prof. Gurpreet Jagpal, Vice-Chancellor of the USUK, Prof. He Zhiqiang, Vice President of HUEB, attended the meeting chaired by Mr. Chris Brown, Director of International Education at the USUK.

Mr. Ji Zhenqi introduced the overall situation of higher education in Hebei Province and the policies for international cooperation and exchanges, and hoped that the two universities would make joint efforts for win-win cooperation and lead the connotative development of high-level cooperative education.

Prof. Gurpreet Jagpal and Prof. He Zhiqiang respectively expressed their willingness for further cooperation and exchanges in terms of some related disciplines and reached consensus on the joint construction of Sino-foreign cooperative education college for mutual benefits.

The USUK is a public university with above 5,000 students and 6 colleges including engineering, technology, science and technology, business, law, social science and health management, design and art. The university is known for its innovation and has been awarded by The Guardian as "the most modern university in the UK with a proud history".
