On March 10th, Hebei University of Economics and Business and Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University, Nepal held an online seminar for promoting International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 2022. Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, Registrar of KU, Dr. Harish Chandra Shah, President of Nepal China Cultural and Educational Council, Dr. Sudhir Shakya, President of Nepal Chinese Education Academy, Ms. Li Xiaoxiao, Deputy Director of Office of Foreign Affairs , HUEB, and Mr. Fan Guoping, Associate Dean of International Education School, HUEB attended the meeting. More than 100 CIKU teachers and students joined the meeting.
Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma extended his appreciation to the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education, China and HUEB for offering the Scholarships and encouraged the students of CIKU to learn Chinese and to commit to the cultural exchange between China and Nepal. Dr. Harish Chandra Shah pointed out that China is the most important destination country for Nepali students to pursue their study and the graduated Nepali students have made contributions for the development of Nepal. Ms. Li Xiaoxiao gave a brief introduction of HUEB and welcome the students to study at HUEB. Mr. Fan Guoping explained the application guide for scholarships.
This online meeting intended to help the Nepali students to achieve their dream of studying in China. CIKU will continue to play a bridge role in educational and cultural exchanges between China and Nepal and serve the international Chinese education in China and Nepal.
