On April 24, 2023, the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University held the "International Chinese Language Day" celebration activities under the theme of "Chinese Language: Facilitating Dialogues across Civilizations" with the support and guidance of Chinese Embassy in Nepal.

H. E. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Chen Song, President of Hebei University of Economics and Business Prof. Dr. Huang Sheng, Vice-Chancellor of Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Registrar of Kathmandu University and Nepali Director of the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, and President of Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council Dr. Harish Chandra Shah attended the celebration and delivered speeches. Vice President of Hebei University of Economics and Business Prof. Dr. Li Guijun, President of Nepal-China Trade Association Dr. Anoop Bhattariy, and more than 200 people including teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University, media reporters, and Chinese language lovers participated in the celebration activities.

Local teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University performed at the celebration activities, reading Chinese poems, singing Chinese songs, showing Chinese martial arts and dancing with Chinese songs, all of which stand out as representation of the achievements in Chinese language education by the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University.
