On the morning of April 7, 2021, the "Donation of Pandemic Prevention Materials to the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia from Association of Overseas Chinese in Zambia" was grandly held at the square of the Confucius Institute’s front door at the University of Zambia. On behalf of the Association, Chairman Wu Ming donated medical supplies to the Confucius Institute, including medical masks, protective clothing and medicines, which worth more than 100,000 Kwacha. The attendants of the donation ceremony include Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute Prof. Li Gang, the Foreign Director Sande Ngalande, and relevant personnel of the Association and the University of Zambia, as well as the Zambian National Television and other media representatives.

It aroused warm responses from all sectors of society in Zambia. Mainstream media, such as the Zambia Central Television and Zambia Daily, reported this event, which greatly improved the popularity and reputation of the Confucius Institute in Zambia. It showed the belief and determination of the Confucius Institute to use Chinese teaching as a platform to integrate the overseas Chinese community in Zambia and all parties to overcome the difficulties together with the Zambian people and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
