On the afternoon of August 27th, Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Registrar of Kathmandu University and Nepalese Director of CIKU, led a delegation to visit our university. Prof. Dr. Guijun Li, Vice President of our University, met with the delegation. Other participants include the leaders of International Exchange Center, International Education School, School of Business, School of Culture and Communication, School of Foreign Languages, School of Arts, and School of Tourism, as well as the Chinese Dean of CIKU and relevant personnel ofourUniversity.
Prof. Dr. Guijun Li, after expressing his welcome to the delegation's visit, pointed out that since the establishment of the Confucius Institute through cooperation between the two universities sixteen years ago, remarkable achievements have been made in the field of Chinese language education in Nepal. We look forward to the two universities relying on their respective strengths to further deepen and expand cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research and think-tank construction in order to improve the quality of talent cultivation and the level of international education between the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle expressed gratitude for the warm reception from our university, and his willingness to continue deepening cooperation in Chinese education in Nepal, expanding teacher-student exchanges, and scientific research cooperation between the two schools. He also introduced the progress of the teaching building at the Confucius Institute.
Both sides conducted in-depth discussion and reached cooperation intentions around teacher-student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, the "2+2" project, and the construction of the teaching building.
